You're definitely right about appliance seals—inspectors love those hidden spots. Another sneaky area is under the fridge and stove; you'd be amazed how much dust and crumbs accumulate there. I've seen inspectors pull out appliances just to check behind them. Also, don't overlook your range hood filters; grease buildup there is a common oversight. A quick soak in hot water and dish soap usually does the trick, and it makes a noticeable difference. Better safe than sorry...

- Totally feel your pain on this one—my first inspection was a comedy of errors. I thought I was golden until the inspector casually slid out my stove and revealed a mini archaeological dig of crumbs and lost Cheerios...
- Good call on the range hood filters, btw. Mine looked like they'd been deep-fried themselves. Hot water and dish soap saved me too, but I had to soak them twice because apparently grease has layers like an onion.
- Honestly though, inspectors have probably seen way worse than whatever disaster you're imagining right now. Just tackle the obvious stuff, breathe deep, and remember: they're not expecting Martha Stewart's kitchen.
- You've got this. And hey, if all else fails, distract them with freshly brewed coffee—worked for me!

Haha, inspectors definitely aren't expecting perfection. Mine once opened the cabinet under my sink and found a forgotten potato sprouting an entire ecosystem... You'll be fine, just tackle what you can and remember they've seen it all before.

Haha, the potato ecosystem story made me laugh—I had something similar happen when I first moved into my fixer-upper. Opened a drawer and found a half-empty bag of rice that had become home to a family of moths... yikes. Anyway, inspectors really do seem pretty chill about stuff like that. Just make sure the main areas are clear, no obvious hazards or leaks, and it'll probably be fine. Maybe stash clutter in boxes temporarily if you're worried? Good luck tomorrow!

Haha, moths in rice... been there too, unfortunately. Inspectors really aren't phased by clutter or minor messes, they're mostly looking for structural stuff or safety hazards. When mine came through, I had paint cans stacked in the corner and a sink that dripped if you didn't jiggle the handle just right—he barely blinked. Curious though, anyone ever had an inspector point out something totally unexpected or weird?
