Been there... inspectors do have eagle eyes for the little things. If your kitchen's still a mess, just clear pathways, cover exposed wiring, and make sure plumbing connections look solid. Cosmetic stuff usually isn't their focus anyway.

Inspectors definitely notice the weirdest things, don't they? But honestly, if you've got the basics covered—like wiring and plumbing—you're probably good. Ever thought about just tossing a nice rug or plant somewhere to distract from the chaos? Works wonders for me...

Haha, love the optimism here... but honestly, inspectors aren't usually looking for magazine-worthy kitchens. If your plumbing and wiring are solid, you're probably fine. A little visual distraction never hurt anyone, though!

Haha, yeah, I get the idea of distraction—reminds me of when I flipped my first house. Kitchen was a total nightmare, cabinets hanging crooked, tiles missing... you name it. Thought I'd just put a big potted fern in front of the worst cabinet and call it a day. Inspector walked in, barely glanced at the plant, and went straight for the pipes under the sink. Learned pretty quickly they're way more interested in what's behind the scenes than any quick cosmetic fixes. Still, can't hurt to make things look a little nicer... right?

Haha, your fern story cracked me up... inspectors really do have a sixth sense for sniffing out trouble spots. I remember one time I tried to distract from some sketchy wiring by repainting the kitchen walls a bright, cheerful yellow. Inspector barely noticed the paint, went straight to the breaker box and started shaking his head. Lesson learned: cosmetic fixes might boost your mood, but they won't fool a seasoned inspector. Still, nothing wrong with making the place look presentable—at least you'll feel better walking through it yourself.
