"pray the inspector doesn't open the wrong cupboard or sneeze too hard."

Haha, risky move... but honestly, inspectors usually care more about safety and code compliance than neatness. Ever thought about just stacking stuff neatly in boxes instead of cabinets? Saved me a headache or two.

Boxes can work, but honestly, inspectors have a weird sixth sense for spotting clutter disguised as "organized chaos." A quick tip from experience:

- Clear pathways and keep counters mostly empty (they love seeing clear surfaces).
- Group random stuff into baskets or bins—looks intentional even if it's not.
- And yeah, cabinets... maybe just tape the sketchy ones shut temporarily?

Trust me, a little visual trickery goes a long way. Good luck!

Haha, taping cabinets shut... that's a new one for me. Does that really work, though? I'd worry the inspector might get suspicious and start poking around even more. Baskets sound doable, but honestly, my counters are always clutter magnets—no idea how people keep them clear. Maybe I'll just shove everything into the oven temporarily... as long as I remember not to preheat it later.

I've gotta disagree on the oven thing... learned that lesson the hard way after melting a plastic cutting board (don't ask). Honestly, I find inspectors appreciate clear access—no tape or weird tricks needed. Best quick fix I've found: stash clutter in those reusable grocery bags and toss them in the car trunk. Out of sight, out of mind, and zero risk of kitchen disasters later.

Good call on the reusable bags trick—I’ve done something similar myself. Inspectors definitely prefer straightforward access without any gimmicks. Learned that after a minor mishap involving painter’s tape and a cabinet door hinge... long story short, simplicity wins every time. Your method sounds practical and low-risk, exactly what's needed under pressure. Hope the inspection goes smoothly tomorrow!
