Just noticed some dark spots creeping up on my bathroom ceiling, and I'm pretty sure it's mold. Ugh, thought I was doing everything right—vent fan on, window cracked open after showers, you know the drill. But nope, still got these nasty little patches popping up. Wondering if anyone else has had this happen even when you're careful? Maybe there's some trick or product I'm missing here...

Had something similar happen a while back, and honestly, sometimes the vent fan alone just doesn't cut it. Even if you're doing everything right, moisture can still linger, especially if your bathroom's on the smaller side or the fan isn't powerful enough. I ended up upgrading to a stronger exhaust fan (higher CFM rating), and it made a noticeable difference. Also, double-check your attic insulation—poor insulation can cause condensation issues that lead to mold spots, even if you're ventilating properly. Might be worth looking into before you spend money on mold-specific products. Good luck, mold is such a pain...

Upgrading the fan can help, but honestly, sometimes it's more about airflow than just raw power. I've seen bathrooms with super strong fans still get mold because the air wasn't circulating properly—like if the door's always shut tight or there's no gap underneath. You might wanna check if there's enough space under your bathroom door or consider leaving it cracked open after showers. Small tweaks like that can surprisingly make a big difference...and save you from spending extra on insulation upgrades you might not need.
