What would you do if your kid wandered into a half-demo’d kitchen?

I totally get the gate thing—my little guy is like a magnet for anything he’s not supposed to touch. I tried the “let’s walk through and talk about it” approach, but honestly, he just got more interested in the tools after that. Maybe I made it too exciting? Has anyone tried just blocking off the whole area and pretending it doesn’t exist? Wondering if that works better than explaining...

I’ve actually had better luck just blocking off the area and acting like it’s not there. Once my daughter couldn’t see the tools, she lost interest fast. The “walk through and talk about it” thing just made her more curious, too. Less is more sometimes.
