- I’m right there with you on the structural stuff—if it’s gonna affect how the place holds up or works, I can’t let it slide.
- But honestly, I’ve learned to let a lot of the little cosmetic things go, especially in spots nobody’s ever gonna see. I used to drive myself nuts sanding drywall seams in the laundry room, then realized... who cares?
- That said, if it’s something I walk past every day and it catches my eye, it’ll bug me until I fix it. Doesn’t matter if anyone else notices or not.
- Funny thing is, my partner never sees half the “flaws” I point out. Sometimes I think we’re our own worst critics just because we know what went into it.
- At the end of the day, I try to remind myself: perfect is the enemy of done. But yeah, some stuff just gets under your skin and you gotta deal with it.
