Concrete dust is no joke...I once thought sealing off the area with plastic sheets would be enough. Nope. Somehow, it still managed to sneak past and coat everything in sight. Spent days vacuuming furniture and wiping down electronics—lesson learned. Still, can't deny how satisfying it feels once everything's cleaned up and looking sharp. Curious about that well idea though, might have to borrow that for my next project.

Plastic sheets can help, but honestly, I've found investing in a decent air scrubber or dust extractor makes a huge difference. It might seem like overkill at first, but trust me, your electronics and furniture will thank you later. Plus, cleanup becomes way less daunting. Curious about the well idea too—sounds intriguing, though I'd double-check local codes before diving in.

Yeah, plastic sheets alone never cut it for me either. Learned that the hard way when I spent days cleaning fine dust off literally everything in my office...lesson definitely learned. Air scrubbers are legit game-changers, worth every penny. Also, good call mentioning local codes—gotta stay on top of those or the city inspectors will be all over you. Curious how your earthquake-proofing held up in practice, sounds like quite the project.

Haha, your dust story brings back memories...I once thought I was being super clever by taping plastic sheets everywhere before sanding down some drywall. Turns out, drywall dust laughs at plastic sheets—it got into places I didn't even know existed. Took me weeks to stop finding white powder on random stuff.

Totally agree on the air scrubbers though, they're like magic boxes. I borrowed one from a buddy once and almost didn't give it back. Almost.

Props on tackling earthquake-proofing, by the way. I've done some eco-friendly retrofits but never anything specifically quake-related. Closest I've come is securing shelves after a minor tremor sent my favorite coffee mug to its doom. Glad your project held up—must feel awesome seeing all that hard work pay off in real life.

Haha, your drywall dust experience sounds painfully familiar. Curious though, did you try sealing off doorways with zippers on the plastic sheets? I've heard mixed things about those—some swear by them, others say they're just fancy dust magnets.

Agreed on air scrubbers being lifesavers, borrowed one myself recently and was genuinely surprised at the difference. Also, earthquake-proofing seems intimidating...how did you approach the planning phase? Would love to know if there were specific resources or guidelines you found particularly helpful.
