Okay, so I decided to replace our old bedroom door myself because it was creaky, warped, and just plain ugly. Watched a bunch of YouTube vids, bought a new pre-hung door from the hardware store, and figured it'd be a simple weekend project. Um...yeah, not so much.
Got the old door out easy enough, but now the new one won't fit right. The frame seems slightly off-level or something, and no matter how much I shim and adjust, the stupid thing won't close properly. It's either scraping at the top or leaving a weird gap at the bottom. I've spent hours fiddling with it, and I'm starting to think maybe I bit off more than I can chew here.
Anyone been through this before? Is there some trick I'm missing, or should I just swallow my pride and call a pro?
