Why do built-in benches always look better than they feel?

I’ve used it under rugs and even between stacked furniture to keep things from shifting.

I actually tried those silicone grip pads under our window seat cushions. They’re a little grippier than shelf liner, but honestly, not a huge difference. If you’ve got kids bouncing around, they’ll still shift. For everyday use though, it’s less annoying than tape gunk.
