Saw this local news bit yesterday about a guy who tried removing his own flooring and ended up damaging pipes underneath... flooded his whole basement. Kinda made me rethink tackling my own floors, haha. Anyone here done this themselves?

Haha, that sounds rough—but honestly, flooring isn't always a disaster waiting to happen. I've seen plenty of homeowners tackle it successfully with just some patience and prep. Biggest tip: know exactly what's underneath before you start swinging hammers or prying boards. Pipes and wiring can be sneaky little surprises...trust me, I've learned the hard way too. If you're cautious and do your homework, you'll probably be fine. Just maybe keep a plumber's number handy—just in case.
