I've been daydreaming about ripping out my old carpet (it's seen better days, trust me) and replacing it with something that's actually good for the planet. Bamboo seems cool, but cork flooring sounds kinda comfy too... um, decisions. Curious what you'd choose if you were in my shoes?

I get your dilemmaβ€”both bamboo and cork have their advantages. Bamboo is durable and has a sleek, modern look, which can boost your home's resale value down the line. Cork, on the other hand, offers excellent insulation and comfort underfoot, especially nice if you're in a colder climate. One thing to consider with cork, though, is durability; it can dent or scratch more easily than bamboo. Have you thought about reclaimed hardwood? It's another sustainable choice worth exploring...

We went with cork flooring in our bedroom a couple years ago, mostly because our budget was tight and we wanted something comfy and warm. Honestly, it's been greatβ€”soft on the feet, quiet, and surprisingly warm in winter. Yeah, there are a few little dents here and there from furniture legs, but nothing major. Bamboo seemed nice too, but it felt colder and pricier to us at the time. Depends on your priorities, I guess... comfort vs durability?
