Totally get where you’re coming from. I tried the baking soda/vinegar combo on a rental kitchen once—let’s just say the stove still looked haunted after. Some of those “eco” sprays are just expensive water, but I’ve found a couple that actually work (shoutout to the EWG list for helping me dodge duds). I still keep the basics around for light jobs, but when it’s years of grime, I’m not above busting out the big guns... as long as they’re not toxic. It’s a balancing act for sure.
