Are those long-term gutter guarantees really worth it?

I've been looking into getting new gutters installed, and I'm stuck between two companies. One offers a lifetime warranty, but it's pricier upfront, and the other has a 10-year warranty but is quite a bit cheaper. I mean, lifetime sounds great on paper, but realistically, how often do gutters actually fail or need repairs after 10 years? My dad had his gutters for like 15 years without any real issues besides some minor clogs he handled himself.

On the other hand, my neighbor had a gutter fall apart after just 6 years (though he admits he went with the cheapest option he could find, lol). I guess I'm wondering if paying extra for the lifetime coverage is actually worth it in practice, or if it's mostly just marketing fluff to make you feel safer. Curious what you guys think or if you've had experiences with either type of warranty.
