I get where you’re coming from, but I’ve actually found that with the right kind of gutter guards and regular visual checks, you can stretch it to once a year in some cases. It really depends on your tree situation and how much debris you’re dealing with. I’ve flipped houses where the gutters barely needed cleaning at all—just a quick rinse. Of course, if you’ve got those big maples dropping stuff constantly, that’s a different story... but not every house is in that boat. Sometimes folks overdo it and end up damaging the gutters more from constant climbing than from actual clogs.

- Totally feel you on the over-cleaning thing.
- My last place had zero trees nearby, and honestly, I spent more time worrying about the gutters than actually cleaning them.
- Sometimes less really is more... unless you’re living under a pine forest, then all bets are off.
- Gutters are like throw pillows—everyone has an opinion on how many is too many or not enough.

Ever notice how some folks swear by those gutter guards, while others say they're just more hassle? Curious if anyone here has actually tried them long-term. Did they cut down on cleaning, or just add another thing to maintain? I keep seeing mixed results on jobs.
