Had a pretty close call last weekend while sanding down some old furniture. Usually I skip the goggles cause they fog up and annoy me, but this time I actually wore them and thank god I did. A chunk of wood splintered off and hit me right in the lens—would've been nasty without em. Gloves saved me from a few splinters too. Guess I'm finally growing up, lol. Anyone else got stories where protective gear actually saved your butt?
