Sometimes it feels like these houses are actively trying to keep you guessing.
That’s the truth—old houses are full of surprises. I’ve had similar issues with over-sealing, too. Did a big rehab once and ended up with condensation on the windows for months until we added an HRV. Blower door tests have saved me from missing weird leaks more than once, though. Not cheap, but they’ve paid off in the long run for me.
