Have you tried those small humidity absorber packs or moisture traps? Ventilation's definitely a big deal, but sometimes closets tucked away in corners or near bathrooms just stay damp no matter what you do. I've flipped a few older places where even with louvered doors, mold kept coming back until we stuck one of those moisture-absorbing tubs inside. They're pretty cheap and easy to swap out every few months.

Also, check if there's any plumbing nearby—sometimes slow leaks behind the wall can cause persistent moisture issues. Had a place once where we chased mold for weeks until we found a tiny pipe leak behind drywall. Fixed that and the mold vanished overnight.

As for frizzy hair... can't help much there, but maybe the humidity packs will solve both problems at once?

Yeah, those moisture tubs can help temporarily, but honestly, they're more of a band-aid fix. If mold keeps coming back, there's usually something deeper going on—like insulation issues or even poor waterproofing on exterior walls. Had a client whose closet backed onto an outside wall, and until we improved the insulation and sealed some tiny cracks, mold kept returning no matter how many absorbers they used. Might wanna check that out too...

I get your point about insulation and waterproofing—those are definitely biggies—but sometimes mold issues aren't that complicated. My sister had a similar issue in her old apartment closet, and it turned out just improving airflow with a small fan and leaving the closet door cracked open helped a ton. Mold never really came back after that. Might be worth trying out something simple like ventilation before diving into bigger fixes...

Ventilation can help, sure, but honestly it's usually just a temporary fix. Had a rental with moldy closets—fans helped short-term, but the mold kept creeping back until we tackled the moisture source directly. Just my two cents.

Ventilation's a decent start, but mold's stubborn—usually means you've got humidity sneaking in somewhere. Had a client once who kept blaming her frizzy hair on the weather... turns out her closet was basically a mini rainforest. We ended up sealing some tiny leaks around windows and doors, plus adding moisture absorbers inside the closets. Problem solved, and bonus: no more bad hair days. Might wanna check for sneaky moisture sources before mold gets too comfy.
