Breathable paint definitely helps, but honestly, adding a vent was the real game-changer for me. Argan oil's great for hair, but I'm not sure it does much for humidity control in closets...maybe I'm missing something? I've found that placing silica gel packets or even charcoal bags in corners can help absorb excess moisture. Has anyone tried those moisture absorbers you hang up—do they actually work or just another gimmick?
I've used those hanging moisture absorbers before, and they do collect water surprisingly well...but honestly, charcoal bags seem more eco-friendly long-term. Has anyone noticed if one lasts longer than the other?
Totally agree about charcoal bags being more eco-friendly in the long run. I've seen those hanging absorbers fill up fast, especially in humid climates...but charcoal bags, you just recharge in sunlight every month or two. Mine have lasted well over a year now—pretty impressive for a simple bag of charcoal.

Yeah, same here. I started using charcoal bags after noticing mold creeping into my rental properties' closets. Those hanging absorbers were a hassle—constantly replacing them got old fast. Charcoal bags were a game changer...just toss them in sunlight occasionally and they're good to go. Tenants seem happier too, fewer complaints about musty smells or dampness. Definitely worth the switch.
Charcoal bags are great, but I've also had luck with those mini dehumidifiers—the rechargeable ones. Plug 'em in overnight every few weeks and they're good. Still, charcoal is def easier...no cords or outlets needed. Might switch back eventually.
