I've been considering this myself, but I'm curious—did you notice if certain insulation types made a bigger difference in comfort versus savings? Still weighing my options and trying to justify the upfront costs...

I've wondered about this too—did you look into spray foam at all? Heard it seals better, but I'm not sure if the comfort difference justifies the extra cost compared to fiberglass or cellulose... thoughts?

I've used spray foam on a few projects, and yeah, it definitely seals tighter—especially around tricky spots like corners and window frames. A couple quick points from experience:

- Spray foam cuts down drafts noticeably, so comfort-wise, it's a step up.
- It can help reduce noise too, which fiberglass doesn't handle as well.
- But honestly, if budget's tight, cellulose blown in properly can get you pretty close comfort-wise without the premium price.

If you're planning to stay long-term, spray foam might be worth it... otherwise cellulose or fiberglass still do a solid job.

Agreed, spray foam definitely tightens things up nicely. One thing I've noticed though—have you had any issues with moisture buildup afterward? Curious how others handle ventilation after sealing things so tightly...

Good point—when you wrap your house up tighter than grandma's holiday sweater, ventilation becomes crucial. I've found that pairing spray foam with a decent HRV (heat recovery ventilator) really helps manage moisture and keeps things fresh inside. Had a client once who skipped ventilation entirely... let's just say the windows became their own weather system. So yeah, definitely factor in proper air exchange to avoid turning your cozy home into a rainforest.
