Is there a middle ground where things are just “smart enough”?
I’ve wondered the same thing. I once toured a house with a fridge that had a giant touchscreen—looked cool, but the owner admitted it mostly just showed fingerprints. On the flip side, leak sensors and remote alerts have actually saved me from a couple of disasters in rentals. I think there’s value in some smart features, but I’d rather have reliability over bells and whistles. Too much tech can feel like overkill, especially when it’s just another thing to break down the line.
