I was randomly watching some documentary about ancient furniture (yeah, I know, thrilling stuff, lol) and apparently sliding shelves have been around since at least the 1700s. Like, people back then were already tired of digging around in cabinets and figured out a way to slide stuff out easier. Kinda funny imagining someone in a powdered wig getting annoyed at their messy pantry. Wonder how far back this actually goes...any history buffs around here know more about this?
