"Ever tried baking soda paste on stubborn spots? I swear it beats half the expensive cleaners I've tested..."

Totally agree on baking soda, but honestly, vinegar-water spray has been my go-to for appliances. Cuts through grease like nothing else and leaves zero streaks...plus, no gritty residue to rinse off afterward.

I've had decent luck with vinegar too, but does anyone else find the smell a bit much sometimes? I've been experimenting lately with lemon juice diluted in water—seems to tackle grease pretty well and leaves a fresher scent behind. Curious if anyone's tried other citrus-based solutions or maybe essential oils mixed in? Always looking for something effective that doesn't make my kitchen smell like salad dressing, lol...

Haha, totally get what you mean about the vinegar smell lingering around—I once cleaned my fridge with straight vinegar and the whole kitchen smelled like pickles for days. Lemon juice is a solid choice; I've also had luck mixing orange peels and a few drops of tea tree oil in water. Cuts grease nicely and leaves a fresh scent without being overpowering. Might be worth giving it a shot if you're experimenting anyway...

I've tried the citrus peel and tea tree combo before, and while I agree it smells way better than vinegar, I found it didn't quite cut through the tougher grime on my oven or microwave. Maybe my appliances were just extra nasty, idk... but after a few tries, I ended up switching back to store-bought cleaners for the heavy-duty stuff. There's a middle ground though—I've started using baking soda paste (just baking soda and a bit of water) for tougher spots. It doesn't smell like anything really and scrubs off baked-on grease surprisingly well. Then I follow up with your lemon or citrus spray idea afterward to freshen things up. Best of both worlds without the pickle vibes, haha.

I hear you on the baking soda paste—it’s a total lifesaver for stubborn oven grime. Another trick I've found handy is sprinkling baking soda first, then spraying lightly with hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub gently. It bubbles up a bit, which feels oddly satisfying, lol. Afterward, your lemon spray idea sounds perfect to freshen things up without turning the kitchen into a pickle jar... win-win.
