I always had this thing where I'd turn on the fan in the evening to cool down the room, and then totally forget it was running when I went to bed. Next morning, it's still spinning away, wasting electricity and making the room feel way too chilly. Anyway, figured out a super easy fixβgrabbed one of those little timer switches (the kind you plug into the outlet). Now, I just set it for an hour or two, and it shuts itself off. No more waking up frozen or feeling guilty about wasting power, haha.
I know some fans have built-in timers already, but mine's old-school basic. This little outlet timer thingy cost me like $5 at a hardware storeβtotally worth it. Curious if anyone else has clever tricks or hacks for stuff around the house like this? Always looking for simple solutions that make life easier...
