Haha, been there myselfβ€”nothing like a surprise indoor fountain to humble your DIY confidence. But hey, at least you gave it a shot and learned something new (even if it's just knowing when to call the plumber next time...). Honestly, sometimes the stress isn't worth the savings, but other times you nail it and feel like a champ. It's all part of the homeowner adventure, right?

Haha, exactly. Reminds me of when I confidently replaced a bathroom faucetβ€”felt like a DIY hero until I realized I'd installed the handles backward. Still counts as a win though, right...?

Still counts in my book, backwards handles and all. Next time, mark the hot and cold clearly before you disconnectβ€”learned that the hard way after a shower surprise or two... DIY plumbing: always an adventure.

Still counts for sure. DIY plumbing is usually straightforward, but I've found that small mistakes can lead to bigger headaches down the lineβ€”especially in rental properties. Learned to double-check everything after a minor leak turned into drywall repairs...

Definitely relate to that drywall nightmare... ever had one of those tiny leaks you thought was fixed, only to find out weeks later it was quietly causing chaos behind the scenes? DIY plumbing can save a ton, but yeah, the hidden costs can sneak up fast. Have you found any good tricks for spotting those sneaky leaks early, before they turn into bigger issues? Always open to ideas for avoiding another surprise drywall repair...
