Been staring at this wall between my kitchen and living room for months now, and I keep picturing how nice it'd be if it wasn't there. But then I think, wait, what if it's load-bearing or something? Or there's some weird city rule I'm not aware of and suddenly I'm in trouble with permits and inspections and all that jazz. Um, anyone ever just gone ahead and knocked down a wall without checking first? How'd that turn out for ya?
