Running Out of Space - Thinking About Expanding the Lounge Area

We've been in our house for about 6 years now, and lately it feels like the lounge is shrinking, lol. Between the kids' toys, my husband's gaming setup, and my own little reading nook, it's getting kinda cramped. We're thinking about knocking out a wall and expanding into the garden area a bit. Has anyone done something similar? Curious if it was worth the hassle and mess or if you regretted losing outdoor space...
