We had a pretty nasty hailstorm roll through our neighborhood last month, and honestly, I was bracing myself for the worst. Last time something like this happened, our siding looked like Swiss cheese, and insurance was a nightmare. But this time around, we had just replaced our old siding with this new impact-resistant stuff (wasn't cheap, but figured it was worth a shot). And you know what? It actually worked. Like, really worked. Neighbors on both sides had dents and cracks everywhere, but ours barely had a scratch. Felt kinda bad for them, but also secretly relieved we made the switch when we did.
Anyway, now I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with siding upgrades or other home improvements that turned out way better than expected. Always nice to hear when something actually lives up to the hype, you know?
