Last spring, we had a tornado warning and I rushed everyone down to our basement shelter. Thought I was totally prepared, but realized halfway through the storm that I'd forgotten to stock fresh batteries for the flashlight. Ended up fumbling around in the dark using my phone's flashlight (which was almost dead, of course 🙄). Now I keep a little checklist taped inside the shelter door—batteries, water, snacks, blankets, etc. Curious if anyone else has a handy tip or learned something the hard way like me?
