After years of procrastinating (and a few too many close calls), we finally got around to reinforcing our basement into a proper storm shelter. Honestly, I didn't think it'd make such a difference, but the peace of mind is unreal. Even the kids seem less anxious when storms roll in now. Curious if anyone else has done something similar and felt this relieved afterward?
