Good point about ventilation—it's often overlooked. I once helped a friend redo his basement shelter, and even with perfect waterproofing, condensation was still an issue until we added some passive vents. Glad you caught it early enough to avoid major headaches later on.

Ventilation really is key—good catch. When we did ours, I almost skipped vents to save a few bucks, but glad I didn't. Condensation can sneak up on you fast... smart move sorting it early.

Glad you mentioned condensation—hadn't even crossed my mind. Did you find certain vent placements made a big difference, or is it more about just having enough vents overall? I'm still figuring out the details before we start ours...

We found placement mattered more than just sheer numbers. Initially, we had vents clustered near the entrance thinking it'd help airflow, but ended up with damp spots further in. Spacing them out evenly made a noticeable difference...no more condensation issues since!

Totally agree, placement beats quantity every time. I've seen shelters with tons of vents still dripping because they were poorly spaced. Also helps to angle them slightly downward—keeps rain from sneaking in and pooling inside. Learned that one the hard way myself...
