Keeping replacement-window weep slots clear

What’s the safest way to clear debris from the exterior drainage openings on sloped replacement windows? The openings seem to vary by frame design, so I’m not sure how to identify the intended weep slots without mistaking another gap or feature for one.

Would a soft brush or a gentle rinse be reasonable, or can either damage a seal or finish if used in the wrong spot? And if water keeps sitting in the track or showing up indoors after the openings are clear, what signs suggest the drainage path or installation needs an installer’s inspection rather than more cleaning?

A little water in the track during rain isn’t necessarily a failure if it drains afterward. Water that lingers well after the rain, or repeatedly spills across the interior track, is a stronger reason to have the window’s drainage path and installation inspected. It’s the pattern and where the water ends up that matter, not just seeing water in the track.
