I had a project where they made me rip out perfectly good insulation because of a new R-value requirement.
That’s the kind of thing that drives me nuts. You do everything by the book, then suddenly the book’s been rewritten and nobody bothered to tell you. I get wanting to be green, but there’s gotta be a better way than making folks waste perfectly good materials. Honestly, half the time it feels like the rules are written by people who’ve never swung a hammer in their life. Documentation’s saved me more than once too, but man, it shouldn’t have to be this complicated.
