Just went through this process myself, thought I'd share how it worked out. First, I called my insurance company to ask if they'd cover any bathroom updates due to water damage. They said yes, but only if I had proof like photos or a plumber's report. Got a plumber out, documented everything, and sent it all in. Took a few weeks but they actually approved part of the costs. Wondering if anyone's done this differently or maybe has tips to speed things up?
