Totally agree about traditional grout. I've done several bathroom remodels, and honestly, epoxy grout can be a real pain to work with—sticky, messy, and unforgiving if you don't get it right quickly. Traditional grout with a quality sealer has always worked fine for me too. One thing I'd add: ventilation matters a ton. If your bathroom stays damp, even epoxy grout won't save you from mold issues down the line. Keep the air moving, and you'll rarely have trouble with traditional grout.

Yeah, ventilation's huge. Did a remodel a couple years back with traditional grout and a good sealer—still looks great. But I also added a humidity-sensing exhaust fan...game changer for keeping mold away. Worth every penny, honestly.

Humidity-sensing fans are definitely a smart move—I've recommended them to several clients, and they've all noticed a big improvement in moisture control. Curious, did you go with a specific brand or model you found particularly reliable?

I've been thinking about humidity-sensing fans myself lately, especially since our old house tends to hold moisture like crazy. Good to hear your clients have had success with them—makes me feel more confident about giving one a try. Did you find that certain brands were quieter than others? Noise is a big deal for us because the bathroom is right next to our bedroom, and the current fan sounds like an airplane taking off...

Also, I'm curious if installation was straightforward or if you ran into any issues with wiring or compatibility. Our home is pretty old, built in the 1920s, and sometimes modern tech doesn't play nicely with the existing setup. Did you or your clients have to make any special adjustments or upgrades to get it working smoothly?

I've heard Panasonic mentioned a few times as being reliable, but I'm still on the fence. It's always helpful to hear firsthand experiences before pulling the trigger on something like this. Glad to hear it's been working out well for you and your clients though—definitely makes me feel like I'm on the right track.

Haha, totally feel you on the airplane thing—ours sounded like a jet engine warming up. We ended up going with a Panasonic WhisperSense and honestly, it's impressively quiet. Installation wasn't too bad either, though we did have to tweak some wiring since our place is ancient too (1930s). Nothing major though, just a bit of extra patience and YouTube tutorials...
