I dunno if it's just my luck lately, but shopping around for a new HVAC system is driving me nuts. Every brand's warranty seems to have some sneaky fine print or hoops to jump through. One brand covers parts but not labor, another has a great-sounding warranty but only if you pay extra for annual maintenance from their "certified" techs. Um... isn't the whole point of a warranty peace of mind without all these hidden catches? Curious if anyone else feels like warranties are getting less reliable lately or if it's always been this way.
