Flooring dilemma: when your new rug makes everything else look weird

Just got a new rug for the living room, thought it was gonna tie everything together, you know? But now the hardwood floor looks kinda off, like the color clashes or something. Didn't even notice it before, but now it's bugging me every time I walk in there. Has this happened to anyone else, or am I just being picky?
