Had a similar issue myself. Kept patching these cracks in my basement wall thinking they'd eventually stop, but nope... every few months they'd creep back again. Finally realized the downspouts were dumping water way too close to the house and pooling right up against the foundation. Redirected them further out and made sure the ground sloped away from the walls. Didn't even cost much, honestly—just some elbow grease and a weekend afternoon. Cracks haven't come back since, fingers crossed.
Might be worth taking a quick look at your gutters and grading before diving into any serious repairs? Could save you some trouble later on.
