Been thinking about converting my garage into a hangout space, maybe a little home theater or something. But I'm stuck on how to keep it comfy year-round. If you were doing this, what kinda heating or cooling setup would you go for?

Totally get where you're coming from - did something similar last year, and honestly, a mini-split system was the best decision I made. They're energy-efficient, quiet enough for movie nights, and you can control the temp easily without breaking the bank. I know some folks swear by portable units or space heaters, but trust me, long-term comfort (and your wallet) will thank you for going mini-split. Just my two cents...good luck with the project!
