Honestly, I think subtlety might be overrated here. I installed one of those sleek, minimalist thermostats once and spent half my time squinting at it or fumbling through apps just to adjust the temp. Ended up swapping it for something chunkier but way easier to use. Sometimes function beats formβespecially when you're stumbling around half-asleep at 3am trying to turn down the heat...

Haha, totally been there. I ended up ditching a fancy smart lock once because it kept glitching right when I needed to get inside. Anyone else had smart tech backfire on them like that?
I had a similar issue with one of those smart faucets. Thought it'd be great for messy hands, but it randomly turned itself on at nightβfreaked me out hearing running water at 2am. Went back to a regular tap pretty quick after that...
Had a client with a similar faucet issueβturned out the sensor was just overly sensitive. Adjusted the settings and it's been fine since. Smart tech can be quirky, but sometimes just needs a little tweaking...
I've had something kinda similar with my smart thermostat. It kept adjusting itself randomly, and I was convinced my house was haunted for a good week or two (old houses, you never know...). Turns out it was just trying to "learn" my schedule and failing miserably at it. Had to dig through the settings and turn off some fancy predictive featureβI mean, I appreciate the effort, but sometimes simpler is better, right?
