I get what you mean about “intentional chaos”—there’s a fine line between curated and just plain messy. I tried the whole hooks-and-rails thing above my peninsula, thinking it’d look like one of those cozy European kitchens. Honestly, it started out looking cool, but after a while, it just felt like visual noise. I ended up paring it back to just a couple of essentials and stashing the rest in drawers. Sometimes less really is more, even if it means sacrificing a bit of that “lived-in” vibe.
