Finally upgraded my kitchen lighting and wow, what a difference.
I used to have those old-school fluorescent tubes - you know, the ones that flicker and buzz and make your kitchen feel like a hospital cafeteria? Anyway, swapped them out for some sleek LED strips under the cabinets and a couple recessed fixtures in the ceiling. Took me a weekend to install (I'm not exactly handy, lol), but it was totally worth it. The whole space feels warmer and brighter, and cooking at night doesn't feel like I'm prepping dinner in a horror movie anymore.
Curious if anyone else has done something similar or maybe tried different setups? I'm thinking about adding some dimmers next, but not sure if that's overkill for a kitchen...

Dimmers wouldn’t be overkill if you want brighter light for cooking and a softer setting the rest of the time. Check compatibility before choosing one: the LED strips need a dimmer that works with their driver or controller, and the recessed fixtures need one rated for those LEDs. If both are on the same switch, both types of lights need to work with that dimmer; otherwise, separate controls may be a better fit.
