Did you notice any issues with noise bouncing around? I found that once everything was open, sound traveled like crazy.

Yeah, the noise was a surprise for me too. I thought it’d just be a draft problem, but once those walls were gone, every little sound seemed to echo. Rugs helped a bit, but I also ended up hanging some thick curtains—even though there aren’t any windows there. It’s wild how much difference soft stuff makes. Temperature was my main issue at first, but honestly, the sound thing bugged me more after a while.

That’s spot on—soft furnishings are a game changer for open spaces. I’ve found even tossing a few oversized floor cushions around can help break up the sound. If you’re up for it, acoustic wall panels can blend right in with your decor and really dampen echoes. Sometimes people overlook bookshelves too; they can double as both storage and a sound buffer. It’s not always about covering every surface, but a mix of textures usually does the trick.
