anyone found a clever way to quiet down noisy power tools?

So I was thinking today, what if you had neighbors who were super sensitive to noise, and you had to use your saw or drill regularly...um, how would you guys handle that without causing neighborhood drama?

Had a similar issue last summer doing a deck rebuild - neighbors had a newborn, so noise was a real worry. Ended up building a simple plywood barrier lined with some leftover carpet scraps. Surprisingly effective at muffling sounds...and kept things drama-free.
