Finally got through a whole project on one charge—anyone else surprised by their batteries lately?

Totally get what you mean about the satisfaction of clearing out that battery mess. I swear, in my old house, batteries and random fasteners just migrate from room to room. And yeah, these new lithium packs are a game changer—I used to have to plan projects around charging breaks, now I’m just cruising along. Still can’t find my stud finder half the time, but at least the batteries aren’t in the way anymore.

That stud finder must be hanging out with my measuring tape—they seem to vanish right when you need them most. I finally organized my “junk drawer” into a labeled box system, but now I can’t remember which label I used for half the stuff. The lithium packs are a revelation, though. I used to have a whole lineup of half-charged batteries just in case. Now it’s just one and done... until the next tool goes missing, anyway.

Funny how organizing stuff sometimes makes it harder to find, right? I’ve had the same issue—spent an hour looking for my laser level last week, even though it was “properly” stored. On the battery front, I’m still a little skeptical. My drill’s been holding up, but my impact driver seems to drain faster than I remember. Anyone else notice certain tools just eat through batteries quicker, or am I imagining things?

Totally get that—my tape measure is always “in its place” but somehow never where I expect. About the batteries, I’ve noticed my sander drains them way faster than my drill. Maybe some tools just pull more power? Or maybe it’s just how I use them...
