I've been looking into solar panels for my house, and the more I read about net metering, the more annoyed I get with my current electric bill. Like, I'm paying full price for electricity, but if I had solar panels, I'd be getting credits back for extra energy I produce. Seems kinda unfair that regular customers don't get any breaks or incentives at all. Anyone else feeling a bit frustrated by this?

I completely get where you're coming fromβ€”it's frustrating to see incentives aimed only at solar users. I've looked into solar myself, but my home's historical status makes installation tricky (and pricey!). Still, it's interesting to note that net metering policies vary widely by state. Some utilities actually charge solar customers extra fees to offset grid maintenance costs. Seems like the fairness issue goes both ways...but yeah, I agree regular customers deserve some kind of incentive too.
