RE: remodeling on a tight budget - any clever hacks?
I’ve seen those peel-and-stick floor tiles used on counters too, and honestly, they’re way sturdier than contact paper - plus you don’t get that weird bubbling when the surface gets a little damp. Only thing I’d watch ou...
RE: Swapping out old faucets and toilets - what brands actually last?
Totally get this. There’s something about the heft of those old brass handles that just feels right - like they’re meant to last decades, not just until the next remodel. I’ve actually sourced vintage faucets for a coupl...

I get the charm of old doors, but I’ll admit, the quirks drive me a little nuts sometimes. There’s character, and then there’s fighting with your door every time you come home with groceries. I’ve actually had clients re...
RE: Keeping hardwood shiny without losing my mind
I hear you on the whole “character vs. neglect” thing - there’s definitely a fine line. I’ve seen matte finishes look amazing in some spaces, but yeah, they can be unforgiving if you’ve got pets or kids running around. ...
