How long did your kitchen cabinets actually take?

Those corner cabinets are the bane of every kitchen project, honestly. No matter how many times I check my measurements, there’s always a surprise angle or a wall that’s just a hair off. Repurposing old fronts is great in theory, but sometimes you’re just throwing good time after bad. I’d rather start fresh than wrestle with a drawer that never sits right.

You nailed it—those “almost square” corners are the stuff of nightmares. I’ve found that even with the best laser levels, old houses just love to throw a curveball. Have you tried those lazy susan inserts for corners? They’re not perfect, but sometimes they save a headache. Curious if you’ve had any luck with those, or do you just build custom every time?
