think my AC might be too big - anyone else dealt with this?

Last summer, we finally replaced our ancient AC unit with a brand new one. Thought bigger would mean better cooling, right? Well, turns out the house cools down super fast now, but it cycles on and off constantly. Feels like it's barely running before it shuts off again. Heard this can actually wear things out quicker and mess with humidity levels indoors. Has anyone else had something similar happen after installing a new AC?
