IS IT JUST ME OR ARE THERE TOO MANY ECO LABELS NOW?
You’re spot on about the “minimum bar” issue. I’ve installed plenty of so-called green products that still had a strong smell or wore out faster than advertised. Labels like CARB or Greenguard are better than nothing, but they don’t tell the whole story. I’d rather see detailed VOC data and actual test results than just another sticker slapped on the box. Honestly, I’ve learned to trust my own nose and experience more than any label—if it reeks or feels flimsy, it’s not going in a client’s house.
