pine vs cedar boards for outdoor projects?

Been working on some backyard stuff lately and I'm kinda stuck deciding between pine and cedar boards. Pine is definitely cheaper around here, but cedar seems like it would hold up better to weather. I've heard pine can warp pretty bad outdoors, but then again, cedar's pricier and I'm trying not to break the bank, you know? Curious what people here prefer and why - especially if you've used both before.
